Versatile Blogger Award

I’ve been nominated for another award! Thanks again to the wonderful Laurel at a little piece of driftwood. Thanks girl! So, basically, what I’ve got to do is share 7 facts about myself and nominate 15 other bloggers! I’m really sorry if I’ve got anything wrong, I’ve never received this award before! So, let’s get on!

1. I HATE injections. I think it all started when I got my ears pierced and fainted aged 11. Who knows, but sadly I don’t think I’m going to grow out of it any time soon 😦

2. I love baking, especially lemon drizzle cake! I’m planning on making a Lemon and Rosemary Cake soon!

3. I used to run 5k every weekend. Ummmm yeah I probably haven’t done that since the summer. Oops.

4. I love room decor and interior design.

5. I believe a fresh vase of flowers make everything better!

6. I am Christened, yet didn’t start studying the Bible til April 2013, inspired by the great relationship my best friend has with God.

7. I play guitar and am currently practicing for my grade 2 but I also love playing piano.

So that’s me! Now for you lovely bloggers out there:

One Outfit for £20?!

Hey guys! So today I’m doing something a little different. I’d like to thank Zoe London for this brilliant post idea. I was stumped for ideas on what to write about so, as you do, I googled lifestyle blog post ideas and her post came up! I’ve got to create a whole outfit, top to toe, for £20! Can I do it? Read on and you’ll find out…

Lots of Love Lottie Blog £20 OutfitI DID IT! *fireworks, champagne and cake fly everywhere* And, it’s not too shabby of an outfit, if I say so myself. I do have to admit something though, the blue pendant is actually just a pendant, no chain, but everyone has a spare necklace chain or you can just swap it in with another necklace. Here are the links to all the pieces:

Textured Top – H&M – £3.99<<click on product name

Slacks – H&M – £7

Black Slip On Espadrilles – New Look – £7.99

Opal Pendant – eBay – £1.01

I love the slacks, they’re so colourful and they look VERY comfy. I really enjoyed doing this, actually! If you try this challenge, send me the link to it so I can see what bargains you came up with!

What’s your favourite bargain piece in your wardrobe?

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥

Lottie’s Life: By the Seaside, by the Sea!

Hey everyone! How’s your week been? At the weekend my family and I went to visit some relatives by the sea, I swear it is always sunny on the coast! I went for a lovely sunset run one night and AAHHHH I JUST WANT TO LIVE THERE. I also went for a walk on one of the nights and took some photos in ‘the golden hour’, I believe that’s what they call it! I love how soft and beautiful everything is before sunset. These photos were not edited AT ALL apart from my watermark! How cool is that? Enjoy!

My Current Favourite Bloggers

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Favourite Bloggers

Hey, you! I’m so so sorry for the lack of #LottiesLife last week…again! Life kind of got in the way. BUT we have a good ol’ share-the-love post today; my favourite bloggers! Some of them are big, some small. The most important thing though is that they make me scroll through ALL THEIR POSTS. So yeah. You could say I have some love for these wonderful people!

1. Harri at Vanilla Craft Blog – age 15, New Zealand, crafty photographer who throws in a few hauls and room tours here and there. So professional and so cute, Harri is definitely a blogger who you’ll come back to.

2. Vicky at Victoria’s Vintage – age 24, UK, Cath Kidston-esque blogger who is so thrifty and her Poundland posts are my favourite. Beautiful blog design, lovely to read and all round British!

3. Carin at Paris in Four Months – age 23, originally from Stockholm, Carin moved to Paris and captures The City of Love perfectly with her stunning photography (I think many of her photos have been used for my computer wallpaper!). She makes you want to jump straight on a plane to Paris, have breakfast at Laudureé, visit cute courtyards and buy macaroons. Carin’s your girl!

4. Tolly at Tolly Dolly Posh – age 14, UK and France, oh Tolly Tolly Tolly. Your outfits make my heart SING not to mention the photography. Tolly is such a lovely blogger and her style is top notch. Give this gal a go, you’ll love her, I’m sure!

5. Anna at Vivianna Does Makeup – UK, everyone has heard of Anna, and it’s for a very good reason! She’s a beautiful, talented makeup-obsessed Londoner who shares her life through her blog and Youtube channel, her writing gives me the LOLs *cringe* and she is also very professional. One to bookmark, me thinks!

6. Elsie and Emma at A Beautiful Mess – sisters, USA, these two have taken the DIY world by STORM with their incredible ideas and photography, beautiful blog design and their friendly helpful writing. They now have a whole team behind them making this blog more perfect than humanly possible!

7. Yasmin at Beauty in the Rain – teen, UK, Yas is a real newbie to the sometimes intimidating world of blogging, and she’s already very professional. She’s a good friend of mine but that doesn’t mean I’m mentioning her for just that reason! Her reviews are very honest and you can tell she really thinks about them. If you visit her, tell her I sent you!

8. Becky at Milk Bubble Tea – 24, UK, I once saw a comment on Becky’s blog saying “her photography makes me feel like I’m in a winter wonderland!” and I couldn’t agree more. Her style of blogging is so lovely to just chill out and read and HER DOG. No words can describe how much I want an Oscar (that’s the name of her dog, although a movie award would be lovely) .

9. Kate at gh0stparties – 22, UK, Kate is so lovely and Pinteresty and basically, I want her handpainted cactus pots. Her photography: amazing, her Youtube vids: fantastic and she’s just an all round beautiful blogger! You go girl!

10. Helen at The Love Cats Inc – UK, ooooo Helen, you lovely blogger! Your photos are fantastic and I really love your baking posts. Planning on making those Whoopie Pies very soon. She’s also a lot of fun to follow on Twitter, your Metro rantings do make me chuckle a little bit. Give this girl a go, and you won’t be disappointed!

And that concludes some of my favourite bloggers! Obviously I have so many, it was very hard narrowing it down to just 10. Otherwise this would turn into a modern version of War and Peace, and nobody wants that (well not that I know of!)

Who are your favourite bloggers? Let me know in the comments!

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥

DIY Valentine’s and All Occasions Cards!

Hi there! Today I’ve got a DIY for you lovely people. I know I did a Christmas card DIY a few months ago but I couldn’t really not to do a Valentine’s Day DIY! And the great thing is you can make these for any occasion, I just thought that as V. Day is coming these would be appropriate! And as always, this DIY is very flexible as you can use whatever colours and cutters you like! So, without further ado, let’s begin!

You will need:

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Equipment

Plain cards

Shape cutter (mine’s from Poundland and they have so many cute designs!)

Coloured or patterned paper

Scissors (not pictured)

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Hole Punching

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Cutouts

1. Butterflies

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards First Card

This is so cute! Literally cut out a few hearts, fold in half and place a thin line of glue along the back of the fold. Then place in a diagonal line across your card and done! This probably works best with hearts but you could also use butterflies (well duh for the butterfly card…)

2. Heart

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Second Card

I like to use a mix of ‘butterfly’ hearts and just flat hearts. Just arrange in the shape of a heart and glue down! So pretty! And who cares if it’s not symmetrical? It’s homemade 🙂

3. Cutouts

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Third Card This one is a bit more effort but I think it looks lovely! Cut three hearts in your card (or as many as you want!) Go to the inside of the card and place a small piece of coloured paper over the heart cutout. Then lightly trace the cutout and glue everywhere on the piece of paper AVOIDING the traced heart. Line up and stick down then rub out the pencil markings. As you can see, I didn’t do a very good job of rubbing out the lines! Whoops 🙂

So these are perfect for party invites, birthday cards…anything! Hope these inspired you to send something to someone you love; all year round! If you try any of these out, remember to send them to me on my Twitter (@lottieblog). Have a good week!

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥

Lottie’s Life: Liebster Award and Instagram!

Hey everybody! I have some exciting news…I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award! Now, I’m going to be honest, I barely knew anything about this award before I received it, all I knew was that you wrote a blog post about it. But here’s a really good article telling you how it all works!

I was nominated by the lovely Laurel at a little piece of driftwood. Thank you so much for the nomination!

A pretty simple one, but “Life is beautiful”, because it really is.
3. Who is your favourite actor/actress?

5. Which is your favourite item of clothing in your wardrobe?
My Topshop Joni Petite jeans that I got in the sale for £10!
6. Where in the world would you most like to live and why?
Sydney or Melbourne, Australia because I could be could close to some lovely friends that live over there and because I’d love the beach life! (so maybe Cali as well) But then Italy or Amsterdam…
7. Do you believe in soulmates?
Well this is deep! I think yes because there will always be someone who loves you even if you don’t know it yet.
8. Who was the first person you thought of this morning?
Cambria Joy and her newest video, gosh that girl is perfect.
9. What was your favourite subject in school?
I love the creative subjects like Art, Drama, Dance, Music and English even if I’m not that good at some of them.
10. What do you love most about yourself?
My ability to stay constantly positive yet be able to accept that sometimes all you need is a good sob.
11. What inspired you to start a blog?
I firstly wanted to start a Youtube channel, but just couldn’t get it right. Then I found the amazing bloggersphere and I was sold!

Lots of Love,
Lottie ♥

January Favourites 2015

Hello my beautiful Internet people! How t’is you? Get up to anything exciting at the weekend? I visited my relatives by the seaside (by the sea…). Photos to come in next weeks #LottiesLife! We have my first favourites post of the year! Who’s excited? *RAISE YOUR HANDS PLEASE, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN*

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Dish 2
Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Dish 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Dish 3
I love this little dish from Sainsburys. It’s actually from the oriental cooking range but was reduced to 99p. They had so many other gorgeous designs, but I loved this turquoise and orange dish. It really reminds me of some pinteresty-instagrammy-tumblr dish that someone has hugely edited and has got thousands of likes. That will totally be me one day (not)

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Cat Shirt 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Cat Shirt 2
Yes, I’ll admit, this is from the kids range at h&m. I still fit into the last size, ok?! But,seriously, how cute is the cat design. I normally wear this with a black cami, jeans and my River Island black vans dupes or mint green jeans and white converse. It’s cute, very cute. And if I remember correctly, only cost me about a fiver. Bosh.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Essie Nail Polish
Oh Essie, I love you. Maybe except your £8 price tag. The world went crayzayyyy for this colour, mint candy apple, one or two years ago and it is still my favourite colour nail polish. I get a new one pretty much every birthday! I do have to apply three thin coats to get a good opaque colour but you can tell how good a quality it is but the shiny-ness (?) and AHHHH IT MAKES MY HEART SING.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Postcards 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Framed Postcards

I love these postcards from Paperchase, and they were only 60p each! You could always stick them on front of a card for an easy birthday card or frame them like I did! There are so many designs, and they sort of remind me of the Project Life scrapbook cards, but so much cheaper.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Heart

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Necklaces

This heart jewelry holder is from Evolution and was on sale at £3.50. I haven’t filled it with all my jewelry yet, but it’s great as it organises prettily!

This month my favourites blogger/Youtuber has been Harri from Vanilla Craft Blog. The photo above pretty much explains my love for her blog. Her photography and editing, well, wow, her instagrammy style, fantastic, and her CAT. Well, who doesn’t love cats? Harri’s blog honestly looks so professional that when I first clicked on it I was surprised it wasn’t a 20-years-in-the-business crafty web designer who ran the site. Which Harri is, just without the 20 year experience! Show this girly some love on her blog, Instagram and Youtube.

Songs ♫

Sun – Two Door Cinema Club

Lips Are Movin’ – Meghan Trainor

Uptown Funk – Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars (how could I not?!)

Well, that’s all from me on this dazzling (not) Monday morning. Have a jolly good week and I shall speak to you on Thursday!

PLEASE someone tell me it’s snowed where they are? Or just tell me you’ve been drowning in tea and hot chocolate too?

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥
