DIY Valentine’s and All Occasions Cards!

Hi there! Today I’ve got a DIY for you lovely people. I know I did a Christmas card DIY a few months ago but I couldn’t really not to do a Valentine’s Day DIY! And the great thing is you can make these for any occasion, I just thought that as V. Day is coming these would be appropriate! And as always, this DIY is very flexible as you can use whatever colours and cutters you like! So, without further ado, let’s begin!

You will need:

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Equipment

Plain cards

Shape cutter (mine’s from Poundland and they have so many cute designs!)

Coloured or patterned paper

Gluestick

Scissors (not pictured)

1. Butterflies

This is so cute! Literally cut out a few hearts, fold in half and place a thin line of glue along the back of the fold. Then place in a diagonal line across your card and done! This probably works best with hearts but you could also use butterflies (well duh for the butterfly card…)

2. Heart

I like to use a mix of ‘butterfly’ hearts and just flat hearts. Just arrange in the shape of a heart and glue down! So pretty! And who cares if it’s not symmetrical? It’s homemade 🙂

3. Cutouts

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Valentines Cards Third Card This one is a bit more effort but I think it looks lovely! Cut three hearts in your card (or as many as you want!) Go to the inside of the card and place a small piece of coloured paper over the heart cutout. Then lightly trace the cutout and glue everywhere on the piece of paper AVOIDING the traced heart. Line up and stick down then rub out the pencil markings. As you can see, I didn’t do a very good job of rubbing out the lines! Whoops 🙂

So these are perfect for party invites, birthday cards…anything! Hope these inspired you to send something to someone you love; all year round! If you try any of these out, remember to send them to me on my Twitter (@lottieblog). Have a good week!

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥

I love your idea of sticking them to a card like they’re flying away, it’s so pretty. You could do it with other shapes too like butterflies and stars. Thanks for sending me your link on #lbloggers.
