April Favourites 2015

Hey everyone! How has your week been? Mine has been full to the brim with Maths revision, ugh. That being the reason that there was no #LottiesLife last week. Leading to my next point, sadly I don’t think I can continue with #LottiesLife as it’s just way too much putting up two posts a week, let alone one. I’d much prefer to have one brilliant post a week than two meh-it’s-ok posts, and I hope you’ll agree! Maybe in the summer when I’m off school I’ll do a few but for now, sadly not. BUT, back to the point of this post, here are my April Favourites!

April Favs EE Charger

I hope you picked up your free EE phone charger last weekend! I love this little charger, first of all LOOK AT THAT TURQUOISE and secondly it’s perfect for when I’m out on the go. It’s also a great alternative to bringing a huge chunky charger with you when staying at a friend’s. And, it’s got a limit of 500 recharges but if it’s out of battery when you’re out you can pop into EE and get a new one! For free! How cool is that?!

April Favs Benefit Theyre Real Mascara

April Favs Benefit Theyre Real Mascara Close Up

As the UK’s Number 1 mascara I thought it about time I tried out Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara. Luckily I got a free sample sized version in a magazine so I gave it a go this week, and I’m actually really impressed! I love love love the brush, it really grabs at your lashes (in the gentlest way possible). The formula can be a bit sticky and wet, sometimes I found that my eyelashes were sticking together! Not sure if I can fork out £20 for the full sized though… anyone have any dupes?!

April Favs Italian

I decided I wanted to do something different this month, and learn a different language! I already do French and German at school so I thought it time to release my inner pasta-loving-moped-riding-gelato-making self and start with Italian. I use this brilliant app called Duolingo (available for iOS, Android and Windows phones and as well as online). It has already catergorised the different vocab so I chose to do 10 minutes a day which is perfect for me. Once you’ve completed that day’s section you can earn ‘Lingots’ which add up to a new outfit for your owl or an extra heart! It makes learning a language really fun.

I am also starting to record what I’ve learnt on Duolingo in my binder which I decorated with a collage of Italain pictures! It means I can quickly flip back to what I learnt 7 days ago without having to work out what challenge I did that day.

Music ♪

Ship to Wreck – Florence + The Machine

Been There Before (Shook Remix) – Ghost Beach

Billie Jean – The Civil Wars

April Favs Dork Face

Jemma is such a lovely lovely person and I really enjoy reading her blog posts. Her photography and blog design is FANTASTIC and she is so professional for someone who’s only been blogging for one year, her professionalism is very similar to bloggers who have been blogging for at least 5 years. Here are the links to her blog, Twitter and Instagram.

And that’s what I’ve been loving this month? What are your favourites? Tell me below!

Lots of Love,

March Favourites 2015

Where does the year go? I swear I was only JUST getting the party poppers out of my hair from New Year’s Eve? Anyway, today we have my monthly favourites for you, enjoy you lovely people.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Lauren Conrad Style 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Lauren Conrad Style 2

How can you not love LC? Especially when she writes a book! I love her style anyway so I was always going to get this book. Even though I’ve had it two years, I still love rereading it every so often, even if it’s just inspiration for me to get out of my pyjamas!

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Cross Necklace

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Cross Necklace 2

I’ve really loved wearing my cross necklace recently. Although we’re not allowed jewelry at school, so I have to wear it under my collar, blah. I had to get it lengthened the other day because I’ve had the necklace since my Christening so the chain didn’t quite fit me anymore!

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Ukulele 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Ukelele 2

This is actually my sister’s ukulele but I’ve really enjoyed borrowing it from her and having a little strum diddleeum! At the moment I can only play Riptide but I’m learning, don’t worry!

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Dried Mango

Mmmmmm I love mango anyway but when it’s easy to take with me I love it even more! I got this from Grape Tree in one off their promotional deals and I think it was actually pretty cheap! When you first look at the mango it does look a bit strange but I promise it tastes good.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog UO Shorts 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog UO Shorts 2

These were my first ever Urban Outfitters purchase! These shorts were originally £25 but I had a 20% off voucher which took them down to £20. I thought that was a pretty good price for ANYTHING from UO! And these are comfy so it’s a win-win situation really 🙂

ThatsHeart is one of the CUTEST Youtubers out there. Whether it’s her girly pink bedroom, her cute little dog Junior or her current trip to Maui (I’m so jealous) I will ALWAYS watch Heart’s videos. Let alone the cute content but the camera and editing quality is amazing and I love how she’s not embarrassed in sharing the little things with her viewers. Here’s her Youtube and Twitter.

Music ♫

Got To Be Real – Mary J. Bilge

Get It Together – India Arie

Hope you enjoyed today’s post! What have you been loving this month?

February Favourites 2015

Ooooo the birds are chirping, the daffodils are sat next to me and Mini Eggs are on sale… Spring must be on it’s way! And it’s only 3 DAYS TIL MY BIRTHDAY (just in case you didn’t know). I’m in such a good mood! Such a good mood, that I’m not going to let you read any more waffle. Horrah!

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Anchor Jeans 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Anchor Jeans 2

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Anchor Jeans 3

I got these jeans from a huge Boden sale for only £10! They’re from the Johnnie B range and they feel like such good quality, a bit like Topshop super stretch jeans. And how cute is the anchor pattern?!

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Pukka 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Pukka 2

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Pukka 3

This tea is a great dupe for the Teapigs Peppermint and Licorice tea, except cheaper. It’s not quite as sweet and you do have to wait an agonising 5 minutes for it to brew. But it’s well worth it in the end! So if you’ve heard great things about the Teapigs tea but don’t want to fork out £5 for it, this is a great alternative.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Jack Wills Mist

I love this Jack Wills Hope Cove Body Mist! I got this mist, along with two others, in a gift set for Christmas and this is definitely my favourite one. It’s quite ‘teenagery-slash-young-adulty’ but still smells pretty darn good.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Bear Slippers

They’re fluffy, bear slippers in the sale at Sainsburys. Do I need to say much more?

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Daffodils 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Feb Favs Daffodils 2

I love having fresh flowers around, especially when they’re £1 a bunch! Daffodils are definitely making me excited for Spring, so lovely and bright! What are your favourite Spring flowers?

Well that’s it for today’s post, you lovely lot. But here’s a clue for next week’s post…has something to do with BIRTHDAYS and HAUL? Can ya guess? Let’s hope I can get the photos taken in the 3 days after my birthday :/

January Favourites 2015

Hello my beautiful Internet people! How t’is you? Get up to anything exciting at the weekend? I visited my relatives by the seaside (by the sea…). Photos to come in next weeks #LottiesLife! We have my first favourites post of the year! Who’s excited? *RAISE YOUR HANDS PLEASE, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN*

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Dish 2
Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Dish 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Dish 3
I love this little dish from Sainsburys. It’s actually from the oriental cooking range but was reduced to 99p. They had so many other gorgeous designs, but I loved this turquoise and orange dish. It really reminds me of some pinteresty-instagrammy-tumblr dish that someone has hugely edited and has got thousands of likes. That will totally be me one day (not)

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Cat Shirt 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Cat Shirt 2
Yes, I’ll admit, this is from the kids range at h&m. I still fit into the last size, ok?! But,seriously, how cute is the cat design. I normally wear this with a black cami, jeans and my River Island black vans dupes or mint green jeans and white converse. It’s cute, very cute. And if I remember correctly, only cost me about a fiver. Bosh.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Essie Nail Polish
Oh Essie, I love you. Maybe except your £8 price tag. The world went crayzayyyy for this colour, mint candy apple, one or two years ago and it is still my favourite colour nail polish. I get a new one pretty much every birthday! I do have to apply three thin coats to get a good opaque colour but you can tell how good a quality it is but the shiny-ness (?) and AHHHH IT MAKES MY HEART SING.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Postcards 1

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Framed Postcards

I love these postcards from Paperchase, and they were only 60p each! You could always stick them on front of a card for an easy birthday card or frame them like I did! There are so many designs, and they sort of remind me of the Project Life scrapbook cards, but so much cheaper.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Heart

Lots of Love Lottie Blog January Favourites Necklaces

This heart jewelry holder is from Evolution and was on sale at £3.50. I haven’t filled it with all my jewelry yet, but it’s great as it organises prettily!

This month my favourites blogger/Youtuber has been Harri from Vanilla Craft Blog. The photo above pretty much explains my love for her blog. Her photography and editing, well, wow, her instagrammy style, fantastic, and her CAT. Well, who doesn’t love cats? Harri’s blog honestly looks so professional that when I first clicked on it I was surprised it wasn’t a 20-years-in-the-business crafty web designer who ran the site. Which Harri is, just without the 20 year experience! Show this girly some love on her blog, Instagram and Youtube.

Songs ♫

Sun – Two Door Cinema Club

Lips Are Movin’ – Meghan Trainor

Uptown Funk – Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars (how could I not?!)

Well, that’s all from me on this dazzling (not) Monday morning. Have a jolly good week and I shall speak to you on Thursday!

PLEASE someone tell me it’s snowed where they are? Or just tell me you’ve been drowning in tea and hot chocolate too?

November Favourites 2014

Heyooo people. Happy 1st December! As the nights get darker (and photography opportunities get shorter) everyone is finally admitting to the fact that YES CHRISTMAS IS LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY. Pull the crackers and wack on the Michael Bublé, it’s time to partayy. Sort of. Not really, I’m sat listening to my sister do spelling tests and my mum deciding what curry she wants. I honestly live a thrilling life. Anyways, onto zee November Favourites!

I love this beanie! I purchased it from GAP on Black Friday for £7 something. They had an amazing offer on…50% off EVERYTHING in the store! It was seriously busy though. But I guess we have to do what we need to do. I love how Christmassy the colour is. It’s also super comfy and warm, perfect for winter.

My golly how Christmassy are these bad boys! These gingerbread leggings are so cosy. They’re from Primark and I got them for £10, which is actually pretty expensive for Primark leggings. But they are snuggly. And that’s the best excuse in the world.

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Nov Favs 2014 7

Now you may have seen these in my Winter Wishlist or I tweeted and facebooked (is that a thing?) about them. I bought these from H&M online for £17.49 for each pair, reduced from £24.99. They are lined with a fluffy fleecey sort of material and OH MY GOSH THEY’RE LIKE WALKING ON POLAR BEAR FUR (yes, they’re that soft. Not that I’ve ever stroked a polar bear but ya know). I really needed some wintery boots and I found my dream ones! I think I do prefer the sandy ones but the black ones are still lovely.

Becky from milkbubbletea is SUCH  lovely blogger. And can we just mention how cute her dog Oscar is?! I want one. NOW. Her photography is freakin’ fantastic, she really inspires me to try and practice my photography. Her posts always make me smile. Check out her blog, Twitter and Instagram.

October Favourites 2014

Well helloooooooo lovely people. We have my monthly favourites for you to read today. I know everyone says this but how quickly has October gone this year?!?! I swear I’ve only just pulled my school stuff together for the first day of this school year! Today I have some ever so lovely stuff for you to feast your eyes upon, so let’s go go go!!!

lotsoflovelottieblogoctfavs4This scarf has so many lovely colours in it! I like it for autumn/winter as it adds some colour to outfits. I managed to get it from a county show for £5 but here is something similar.

This body shower cream is sooooo moisturising! It smells like heaven and it feels thick, but isn’t, if you know what I mean. I love using it as a shaving cream on my legs as it smooths and softens your skin. You can purchase it here from Boots for £3.99.

PUMPKIN PATCHES. Need I say more? My family and I went to a Pick Your Own in Devon when we were on holiday on Halloween. The sun was shining, it was warm and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. And, we got three ‘authentic’ pumpkins for £2.36! I much prefer these pumpkins to supermarket ones as they are all different and not the same boring size. And, how cool are those green pumpkins?!?! We carved them when we got home, such good fun.

I love these fairy lights from Primark. The white lights were only £1.50 and the hearts £3! I’ve currently got them along my day bed and I think they look really pretty!

Paris In Four Months

Carin from Paris In Four Months is such an amazing blogger. Her photography skills are fantastic and gosh, she really makes me want to hop on the first plane to Paris. She shows Paris through ways that you might not see – little cafés, hidden courtyards, beautiful architecture…it’s incredible! Check out her blog, Instagram and Facebook.

The Mother We Share – CHVRCHES

Dreadlock Holiday – 10cc

Superlove – Charli XCX

I am love love LOVING Cath Kidston at the moment. Their autumn floral range is gorgeous and I tried on a green sparkly sweater from their winter range the other day and it was perfect! Shame about the £38 price tag though, but that’s what the sale is for, right? Here’s the website.

Soooooo did you enjoy that? How cute are those pumpkins?!?! If you want to check out my other favourites posts, here is July’s, August’s and September’s. What were your favourites this month? Let me know in the comments, or  on my Twitter and Facebook.

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥

September Favourites 2014 + Twitter and Facebook!

Hi everyone! Cannot BELIEVE it’s almost October! Time really does fly when you’re having fun! (in other words, slowly drowning in start-of-term homework) Today we have my September Favourites, so on with the show!

I love InStyle magazine! Even if it’s just to rip out the adverts for posters on my walls (no joke, their ‘American Vintage’ one looks pretty freaking cool on my wardrobe!) Even though I will never be able to afford anything in the fashion section, I just love looking at the recent fashion shows! I got this as a birthday present back in March and it was only £15 for a one year subscription, not too bad! What’s your fav magazine?

This is the Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume (the original, not Enchanted) and IT SMELLS SO GOOD! Here is what Boots said about it:

“Wonderstruck is a charming and sparkling surprise of vibrant fruits, kissed by a bouquet of soft petals and a touch of sweet indulgence.”

I didn’t really know how to explain it, so there you go! If you visit the Boots website you can read the full list of scents here . The bottle is sooo cute, you can’t really tell in the pic but it has like a mystical sheen to it when you turn it towards the light. The body lotion is also really nice, but it’s quite concentrated so don’t simply lather yourself with it!

I got this fella from Homebase last year. This year I’m trying to switch up my room for Autumn so he fits in perfectly. I love how he is simple white so I can add in colour through other pieces like those stripey photo albulms and the M & S home catalogue behind Mr Owl. Btw, do you guys want a Christmas Room Tour this year? I know it’s a way off, but you never be too prepared!

Yup, this is as far as I dare go into the world of makeup. This is just a cheap MUA Clear Mascara that I bought for £1 at Superdrug, but boy, do I love it! It just gives you super lovely natural lashes, nothing too extravagant but without doing nothing at all. Sorry, I would have a ‘swatch’ but I only remembered to swatch at 9pm…not good lighting!

Eva – Mylifeaseva on Youtube ♥

Eva is just perfect. Perfectamondo. Perfecto. Perf. Her quality of videos, editing and camera skills are out of this world and gosh, her style is so tumblr-esque. She is so bubbly, fun and real that it feels like you’re talking to a best friend, where in reality you’re actually watching a teen girl do her job for over 1,000,000 people. Here are the links to her Youtube channel, Twitter and Instagram.

August Favourites 2014 + Few Updates

Hi everyone! Today I have my August Favourites to share with you. I’ve been getting pretty organised recently since school has started (blah) so there’s quite a few stationery items in today’s post! Let’s get started! Also, read til the end to hear about the new updates that are going on on lotsoflovelottie.com

P1020921 (2)

File Dividers & Binder Clips – Sainsbury’s / Binder – This Is It / Pencil Case – Accessorize

We have the stationery. Aaaahhhhh stationery, I love you. I really do. I have been looking for one of those ‘clear pocket’ binders for AGES now, but they’ve all been so expensive. The clear pocket allows you to slip things in and out of the binder front, meaning more ways to customise it! But I finally found one in a value store called This Is It reduced to 99p! If you’re confused, the store is LITERALLY called This Is It. The binder clips were a sneaky buy from the Sainsbury’s sale for 59p and the file dividers also from Sainsbury’s for 74p. Not bad, eh? The pencil case is from Accessorize, not sure how much it was though because it was a gift. The new school season is the PERFECT excuse to have a little stationery haul, me thinks!

P1020930 (2)

Next up is a Strawberry Syrup. This is basically like really strong squash. I got mine from a little supermarket in Paris, doesn’t that make me sound posh?! Just pop out to Paris for a drink. No, my family went out there for a holiday. It was only a couple euros which is much cheaper than the syrups here. Wish I bought more! All you do is pour roughly 1-2 teaspoons over cold water, stir and ta da! IT’S. SO. GOOD!

P1020914 (2)

P1020917 (2)

Next, colourful chevron washi tape. Need I say more? If you’re not sure what washi tape is, it’s basically patterned tape. Mine came in this set of 4 from Ebay for £4, maybe? Can’t remember. I’d definitely recommend Ebay for washi tape, they’re much cheaper than buying them from craft shops. Also, surprisingly, I got some from Sainsbury’s that were really pretty as well for about the same price.

Gabriella – velvetgh0st on Youtube

Little different this month: I have a favourite Youtuber/blogger! This is Gabby from Velvetgh0st on Youtube. She’s an English beauty and lifestyle guru who is just so sweet! I especially love her home hauls, she really makes the the most boring things seem fun! Her filming and editing is pure perfection and she has the most cheesey yet undeniably amazing jokes, and they always make my day. Want to check her out? Here’s is the link to her main channel, vlog channel and her blog.

Songs ♫

Shake It Off – Taylor Swift (such a feel good song!)

This Is How We Do – Katy Perry (keeping in that summer vibeeee)

What You Know – Two Door Cinema Club (anyone noticed that lots of Youtubers use the beginning of this song in their videos?)

*I’m really sorry but the quote doesn’t seem to be showing up! If you want to see it, simply click on it and it should show*

I think we all need to remember sometimes to just stop, and smile. It’s not much of a quote, but I think it’s still an important thing to do! Also, did you know it takes less facial muscles to smile than to frown? Smiling is prettier, and less effort!

July Favourites 2014

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? I’m absolutely LOVING this gorgeous weather we’re having here in England at the moment, fingers crossed it lasts all the way through the summer!

Today I have my July favourites to share with you, it’s been a busy month but I’ve enjoyed it a lot. So let’s get started!

DSCN1983 (2)

Vivien’s Heavenly Ice Cream Shop – Abby Clements

I am in LOVE with this book at the moment! It’s the perfect summer read and after reading it I may or may not have started looking at ice cream makers and flights to Thailand and Florence…hehe. It’s got such a pretty cover, it caught my eye straight away! I found it at the charity shop for only a pound, but it still had the old W H Smith sticker on it which only said £1.95! It’s about two sisters who come together to manage an ice cream shop passed onto them from their Granny Vivien. It’s a lovely easy read and I couldn’t recommend it more.

DSCN2011 (2)

DSCN1986 (2)

Now THIS bad boy is my favourite bag this month. I got him when I went shopping a few weeks ago (haul, anyone? Lemme know in da comments) in the sale at Sainsbury’s for only £7! (originally £14). I’ve been wanting a bucket bag for ages but they always seem to start at £200 (yes, you did read that right!). I love the colours and it’s actually really spacious inside. The only problems with it are that it’s not very secure with just a drawstring tie and I’m not sure the strap is going to last long. Apart from those cons, it’s a great buy.

DSCN2025 (2) DSCN2026 (2)

Primark summer basics are a.ma.zing! These sunglasses and flip flops for only £1 each? Yes please! I actually really like the sunglasses, if I do ever lose them it’s not going to be the end of the world. The flip flops take a little time to wear in, but once they’ve ‘moulded’ around your feet, they’re great for the beach, lake, skydiving (ok, maybe not skydiving – they might fall off). Anyways, they’re definitely some of my summer essentials.

Songs ♫

Here are some of my favourite songs this month –

I Wish – Cher Lloyd

Dreaming – Smallpools

Jammin’ – Bob Marley (gotta love me some reggae reggae!)

I really love this quote. A, because it has the word ‘camera’ in it (I have a tiny obsession with cameras) and B, it actually applies to a few things that have happened to me this month. For example, this blog! Btw, I have no idea who said this quote but I found it and created this pic! Are you proud of me?

Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and I’ll speak to you soon!

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥
