Lush Dashing Santa Bath Bomb

Hi everyone! So today I’m doing my first Lush review! I’ve only ever tried a small selection of Lush’s products, so when I won Charlotte’s giveaway, I was very excited! She sent me a beautifully wrapped box of goodies, including an extra gift of Dashing Santa. Honestly, that girl is so lovely! I haven’t actually used this bath bomb in my bath yet, I’m saving it for Christmas Eve. So let’s get into the review!

Dashing Santa

I love the shape and colours of this bath bomb, although looking on the website the red in their photos are definitely more prominent and defined, so don’t be fooled by any of those marketing tactics! They’re more pastel coloured, in my opinion. ‘He’ is full of sweet citrus scents, making it a fresh, rejuventaing sort of bath bomb. Perfect for Christmas Morning, I think! He’d be perfect for girls who want to delve into the depth that is bath bombs, super cute and not too expensive!

Overall, I think Dashing Santa smells and looks like a lovely bath bomb and is perfect for this winter! Actually can we talk about how mild it is outside? I walked my dog this morning with just a thin jumper and body warmer. Say, what? Is it actually December, or did I miss a few months and we skipped to February without me realising?

So this is my last post before the New Year, so I will wish you guys a blessed Christmas and Happy 2016! How weird is that? 2016? That’s like some distant supernatural universe haha!

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥

Christmas Nails!

Hi guys! First Christmas post this year yesssss. Who’s excited? I am. So, the Christmas season is the perfect time to up your nail game, to let those sparkly talons out in public, because any other time of year they’re probably bare, bitten and possibly dirty. Mmmm mm. Yummy. So here are my favourites!

Christmas Nails

So this first one is a beeeeeautiful classic red from Nails Inc that came with an InStyle magazine last year. I love how it’s so simple yet so lovely! It’s called It’s Red Babez. What a classy name. An alternative to this is Essie Fifth Avenue or if you’re looking for a more budget friendly option is Barry M Gelly Red.

This glitter. Guys. It’s laaaavely (have you noticed the extreme use of letters today, soz). I got this in a Ciaté Advent Calendar. It’s called Ciaté Sequin Dallas Dolly. Wow, they really are running out of names for nail polishes. Actually, this isn’t even a real polish, it’s gold, green and red glitter in a bottle. No ‘liquid’. Just a good ol’ bottle of Christmas Spirit, really. Then, put these two together with a tonne of top coat, and you’ve got yourself some pretty stellar festive nails. Thank me later.

What are you’re favourite Christmas polishes? I’d love some reccommendations!

Autumn Accessories Wishlist

Oh my, it’s got chilly, hasn’t it? I’m gonna be real here and say I’m definitely a summer girl. Although, I do love those first few weeks of October where one is still able to go outside without freezing one’s toes off, and still take nice Instagram pics. Cute.

Today I have pulled together some GORGEOUS Autumn accessories for you! I am particularly loving that leaf bracelet, and it’s only 99p! Enjoy, sweeties.

Styling a T-Shirt Dress

Oh, how I wish I’d discovered t-shirt dresses sooner. They’re so comfortable and so easy to wear. I got my striped one from H&M for only £7! Such a bargain! It’s the perfect length to not look like a sleep shirt as well. Today I’ll show you how I style it!

Lots of Love Ltotie Blog T Shirt Dress 1 Lots of Love Ltotie Blog T Shirt Dress 2 Lots of Love Ltotie Blog T Shirt Dress 3

These nautical stripes are so easy to pair with lots of different accessories. For me I find either sandals, Converse or dessert boots are comfy and chic shoe options. For my bag it’s got to be a tan tassel bag (which I wrote about here if you’d like to read about it!) It fits everything I need and isn’t the size of a suitcase! For jewellery I think you’ve either got to go small and dainty or a statement. I wore my Tiffany’s cross. I imagine this pearl pendant would look beautiful with it! And an optional piece is an army coloured jacket tied round your waist, but this evening was actually really warm (a rarity in itself!)

So that’s how I style a t-shirt dress! I will definitely have to buy more of these, can you imagine them in winter with a big parka and long knitted socks? I’M SO EXCITED.

How do you style a t-shirt dress? What’s your favourite place to buy them?

Current Favourite Earring Shop: ESSENTIAL

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Essential

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Essential 2

Lots of Love Lottie Blog Essential 3

Essential was my go-to shop when I first had my ears pierced. The main reason being that they were sterling silver, so kept my mum happy! Then I guess I just forgot about the shop, then we went back in a few weeks ago and I’m so glad we did!

I found these adorable little turtle earrings that I’ve literally been wearing non stop since I got them…no joke. They’re even sterling silver which is a big bonus, as I know they won’t infect my ears. And were an absolute bargain at just £5! The shop had so many gorgeous designs, I even saw little rhinos!

I’ll definitely be returning to Essentials for earrings, they’re such good value!

Have you ever bought from Essentials? What’s your favourite earrings shop?

What’s In My Bag

Yes, I’m jumping on the bandwagon. I’m really only doing this post because of this gorgeous new bag I got, how pretty is it? It was only £12 from Sainsbury’s and I believe it is now reduced to just £9! It has two compartments then two little zipper pockets with a tassel on one of them (very Rebecca Minkoff you know *posh laugh*). I can even fit my big camera in it, so taking this bag out for a day trip is perfect!

And that’s what’s in my bag! Phone and earphones, for those times when you can’t bear listening to another 80’s classic on Heart in the car. Pinteresty notebook (post coming soon!) and brightly coloured pen for those times when you have a brilliant idea (or when you’re bored in a restaurant and decide to play Hangman).  Wallet (from TK Maxx) because…well, money, I guess. Glasses case because ain’t nobody got time for scratched bent glasses! SPF Lip Balm for chapped lips, also works on small cuts and moisturising cuticles. Hand sanisitiser because yes I am scared of public toilets.

That’s pretty much the basics in my bag. It varies a lot depending on what I’m doing, but these are my essentials!

What’s your favourite bag? Any essentials that you ALWAYS have around?

Essie Sale: Nail Polish Haul!

Essie Rainbow Row

L to R: Full Steam Ahead, Style Cartel, Strut Your Stuff, Naughty Nautical, Ruffles & Feathers (big and small!), Roarrrange, Sunday Funday, Jump in my Jumpsuit, Haute in the Heat, Fifth Avenue

Hey! So I was reading the lovely Helen‘s blog and I saw she had posted an Essie nail polish haul. How can you not read a post about the cutest (and best quality) nail polishes ever? So I read and saw she had picked up all of these lovely colours for £2.50 on sale at Fragrance Direct Online! I was so excited! I love Essie nail polishes…apart from the price. £8 a bottle? Nah mate, nah. So you can believe how enthusiastic I was when I could buy these polishes for a little over 25% of the normal price? So, um, yeah. I may have bought a few. Like *cough* 5 regulars and 3 gift sets *cough*…

Essie Polishes

Essie Polishes Together

First up are the regular 13.5ml bottles. The first one is this gorgeous dark deep raspberry called Jump in my Jumpsuit. The second is the ever so famous Fifth Avenue, a coral-orange red that is a complete classic. I wore this on my toes at the weekend and it was pretty much opaque with one coat! Third is Strut Your Stuff, an aqua blue. Then this teal sea foam is called Ruffles and Feathers, I think this will look perfect on the beach in summer! And finally Style Cartel, a purple navy.

Essie Gift Sets

Now onto the gift sets. These were all £5 each, normally £14.99! The 2014 is now reduced to £3.99 as well! I got two of the summer 2013 collection, one as a gift for a friend. The polishes inside are called Naughty Nautical, similar to Ruffles and Feathers. Then Sunday Funday is a really cute pinky coral. Then finally Full Sunday, a pretty lilac which would be perfect for spring.

The second gift set is the summer 2014 collection. I’ve only just realised there is another Ruffles and Feathers in this set. Oops! All well, can just give it to a friend for a birthday! There is also Haute in the Heat, a lovely raspberry red. Then finally, this is one of my favourites, an incredible tangerine orange called Roarrrange (get it? Roar? Like a tiger? GENIUS)

I do realise that a lot of these are past collections, but I still think they’re gorgeous. I think my favourites are Roarrrange and Strut Your Stuff. Love it! What are your favourites Essie nail polishes? Let me know below!

1 Tee: 3 Spring Outfits

Yes peeps, it’s that time of year again. I’m especially excited for this post, as there are lots of lovely spring-y colours and flowers and all over beautiful-ness. If you are not familiar with this particular series on ze blog, let me explain. So back in August/September I bought this fantastic tee from Topshop for £10. It is such a versatile cropped white box tee that I create 3 outfits for it each season. So far I’ve done Autumn (Fall) and Winter. And as it’s Spring I thought it would be optimistically fun to NOT WEAR TIGHTS. What you do not see in the photos below is ME FREEZING MY HAIR OFF. Can you imagine that? Ew. Let’s move on.

Yay for Spring! Hope you enjoyed that. The last few photos were taken at the garden centre and we did get some strange looks, but it was fine because the flowers look pretty 🙂 Again if you haven’t read my other two Topshop tee posts then here is the Autumn one and here is the Winter one.

One Outfit for £20?!

Hey guys! So today I’m doing something a little different. I’d like to thank Zoe London for this brilliant post idea. I was stumped for ideas on what to write about so, as you do, I googled lifestyle blog post ideas and her post came up! I’ve got to create a whole outfit, top to toe, for £20! Can I do it? Read on and you’ll find out…

Lots of Love Lottie Blog £20 OutfitI DID IT! *fireworks, champagne and cake fly everywhere* And, it’s not too shabby of an outfit, if I say so myself. I do have to admit something though, the blue pendant is actually just a pendant, no chain, but everyone has a spare necklace chain or you can just swap it in with another necklace. Here are the links to all the pieces:

Textured Top – H&M – £3.99<<click on product name

Slacks – H&M – £7

Black Slip On Espadrilles – New Look – £7.99

Opal Pendant – eBay – £1.01

I love the slacks, they’re so colourful and they look VERY comfy. I really enjoyed doing this, actually! If you try this challenge, send me the link to it so I can see what bargains you came up with!

What’s your favourite bargain piece in your wardrobe?

Lots of Love,

Lottie ♥
